Be Purposeful in What You Wish For
Note to Self: Be Purposeful in What You Wish For
So, after two years, everyone who wished the market to slow down, inventory to increase, buyers to have more time and sellers to stop being so unreasonable have found themselves in the middle of the market they were waiting for...
... and now they're wishing for something else!
The new talk-track is all about rates rising, buyers disappearing, homes taking twice as long to sell and sellers being, well, still unreasonable. One wonders if the voices of the industry would just get laryngitis for a little while
Here's my Morning Mantra, instead:
A salesperson is making a sale today. Two or three. Why not me?
A newbie is starting their career, full of energy and optimism for high-demand, available credit and a vibrant competitive landscape.
A team is forming that has strong goals and focus and willpower to make a plan, stick to it and see it realized.
An executive is seizing the opportunity to expand, try new things, and make investments that will shape a decade of success.
An assistant is learning new skills, throwing out old ways and creating better systems that uncover new patterns of growth.
A manager is revving up their recruiting, putting away their checkbook and putting forward their playbook, with strategies and tactics that create life-long growth, not one-time bonuses.
An industry leader is writing a speech that highlights the potential for change, the power of action and the possibility for beating records, in any market, without skipping a beat.
Why is it possible for these things to happen while the market is "changing"?
Because working the MARKET and working your PLAN are two different things. The former leaves success beyond your control - to timing and luck and other-people's actions. While WORKING YOUR PLAN keeps you powerful and effective and growing regardless of external things, for better or worse.
How can this be?
Because there's one thing in EVERY MARKET
that makes the BIGGEST difference:
YOU!
