Welcome to the corner of life and change!

What if you:
Created a growth plan rather than a recovery plan?
Called it a month of self-improvement not self-quarantine?
Tracked pounds lost rather than sales cancelled?
Collected new relationships rather than online leads?
Started a competition for most chapters read rather units sold?
Treasured moments of gratitude rather than contracts signed?

What if - recognizing how healthy and safe and sheltered and connected and fed and neighborly safe you are - you REFRAMED your thinking:

From crisis mode to capability mode!

While hosting a webinar this week, a client said to me, “In a strange way you must be enjoying some time at home, since you’re typically on the road as a speaker. Especially as Spring has begun in the desert. I bet you’re taking some great photos.”

Taking some photos. Walking a lot more every day. Shed four pounds. Read two books. Watched six tutorials. Wrote ten blogs. Conducted a few dozen video meetings. Talked to more clients, reconnected with old friends and felt more helpful than had I done two dozen trips. And it started by crossing the street - revisiting my business plan and updating it for new conditions, trying new delivery and pricing models, creating different products and learning additional skills that will eventually become an even better version of what I used to contribute “before."

I’m trying out the road less taken, by asking questions that will make a difference:

How can I do my job in a world that has instantly learned to do video conferencing and actually like it?
What value can I add with podcasting or book writing?
What growth involves a walk, photography and being a mentor?
How can practice techniques to make a different difference NOW - without worrying about what’s going to happen or for how long?

There’s an old proverb that says “Not everything bad has come to hurt you.” You don’t typically freak out when you come to a street crossing, do you? What if your road is unexpectedly closed by a fire or smoke or a lion standing in the way?

You go around.
You take a higher road.
You don’t need a signal:
While someone sees Stop,
You can see Go!
