Note to Selfie:

As We Enter the Cycle

For every minute spent trying to convince, cajole or criticize others, invest two minutes deepening my own understanding.

Make time to build, broaden and bolster my perspectives, using technology to connect not correct.

Fall in love with the power of pausing, reflecting, editing: Make a super power out of acting intentionally, not reacting wildly.

Watch for short-circuits inside my head; don't assume what's said or seen is the whole story; for the madness of provocateurs is the poorest of purposes with our attention.

Strive to be a moment of time well spent.

Seek to lift up rather than tear down.

See changes in the mirror before finding flaws elsewhere.

You don't have to solve the problems of the world, or fix people who don't do it your way. "To each, their own" has changed history more than "Do it my way."

If you want to make a little impact on the world,

Focus on the most important proposal of all:

You!
