Memorial Day Reflections
This year I’ve challenged myself to consider how to best show gratitude for those who served to ensure our freedoms and life of liberty.
Stop at stop signs.
Smile at shopkeepers.
Be polite in public places.
Say “Please” when purchasing.
Offer “Thank you” to your neighbor.
Show discipline in planes, trains and theaters.
Work hard at school, job, especially my family.
Mind my own business; let others live theirs.
Keep a clean sidewalk and mend my fences.
Speak only what I know and never untruths.
Pay my bills on time and save for rainy days.
Keep my mind sharp and body healthy.
Lend a hand or spare change often.
Spread calm and kindness.
Open doors for others.
Every day can be Memorial Day if we see the connection between the little things we do today - and the sacrifices others have made and still do - so we can be free to do them at all.
