Redefine Your Idea of a "Win"

Staying motivated at work starts by reflecting upon what you call a "win."

If you only celebrate when you make a sale, collect a buck or beat the competition, don't be too surprised if your motivation wanes between these moments. The every day will become a "daily grind" and slowly erode your success.

On the other hand, if you broaden your definition of daily success...

You'll feel thrilled every time you meet a new prospect.
You'll find enjoyment in making the day of your peers.
You’ll see the hard work of everyday tasks as the simple signs of progress.
You'll have endless energy to offer something of value, even when there isn't a transaction with the customer at hand.

Whatever your career, motivation flows from the enjoyment of the journey, as well as the periodic peaks.

Making money is easy.
Doing good work is hard.
Defining a win beyond the deal,
Drives a lifetime of motivation:
To make a difference every day.
